When you're a small business owner or a freelancer, it can sometimes be difficult to justify buying a subscription to the major keyword tools. While I do use one of the paid tools, I'm always on the lookout for new, innovative and importantly — free — tools.
Imagine my delight when I came across a super cool Chrome extension called "Keywords Everywhere". If you're still a Firefox user, there's an extension for you too. It gives you free search volumes, CPC and competition data across 16 major websites (Google, Google Trends, eBay, Google Keyword Planner, Bing, Etsy, Search Console, YouTube, Moz Open Site Explorer, Amazon, & more).
Super easy to install and use — on the right hand side of Google search results, you get two additional sections. The first shows related keywords and the second shows keywords people also search for. Both sections show volume (by location), average CPC, and competition. You can select individual keywords and export them to a CSV, or just hit export to download the whole lot.
