PPC is Dead…Long Live …?
I saw one those🚦”PPC is dead. SEO is everything”🚦 type posts the other day and I thought I’d time travelled back to 2010.
Guess what…all channels are alive and kicking but if you’re focusing on just one to grow your brand, then the likelihood is you’re stagnating.
🙋♀️So what marketing channels should you be using? 🙋♀️
✅✅ SEO- most definitely – this is a long term game, so factor it in early on
✅❓PPC – probably, but not always (yes, this one pains me to say it but PPC doesn’t work for everyone.)
✅✅ Email marketing – most definitely. Collect that first party data, nurture it and grow it
✅ Social – in most cases, but choose your platform wisely and do it really well (yes, I’m talking about you Waterstones – loving your socials 😘)
❓Affiliates – it depends…it’s not for everyone
✅ Offline marketing – for a large percentage of online businesses, do it!
Whatever marketing mix you choose, they’re all supporting each other. Start removing channels, and you’ll see an impact across all channels.
