When you’re a small business owner or a freelancer, it can sometimes be difficult to justify buying a subscription to the major keyword tools. While I do use one of the paid tools, I’m always on the lookout for new, innovative and importantly – FREE – tools.
Imagine my delight when I came across a super cool chrome extension called “Keywords Everywhere”. If you’re still a Firefox user, then there’s also extension for you too. It gives you free search volumes, CPC and competition data across 16 major websites (ie. Google, Google Trends, Ebay, Google Keyword Planner, Bing, Etsy, Search Console, Youtube, Moz Open Site Explorer, Amazon, & more)
Super easy to install and use, here’s an example of what I see in Google Search Results when I search for “ppc tools”
On the right hand side, you can see two additional sections. The first shows related keywords and the second shows keywords that people also search for. Both sections have three columns which show volume (by location), average CPC and also Competition volumes (these look very similar to those you used to see in the old Google Keyword tool. You can select individual keywords and then export them to a CSV, or just hit that export button to download the whole lot.
